Can anyone help me with some information about win xp servive pack 2? I am
modifying my computer with new hard drives, but have an existing external
drive. I would like to know if there is a way to copy all the updates and/or
hotfixes I downloaded from microsoft update site to external drive. Then
after loading hard drive install them back.

I have gone through this before but have always went back to microsoft
update site and downloaded updates again but it takes a good while to do so.

Any advice is appreciated.

If you've already installed them and didn't download the update files
separately and save them, then no there is no way to extract the updates
from the the installed OS.

For SP2. order it from here..

For everything else, stay with the Windows Update site..
