I have just removed several spywares from my computer, but now my option to
set my background picture in my display setting is gone. I have no picture
on my desktop. Does anyone how I can find if it or what I should do to
reinstall it if necessary? Pleeeease Help!!

V8girl, go to Start>Run type: regedit click Ok. Navigate to

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]

or you also may find the values here also

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]

In the right pane look for

Name: Type:
Data If =1 rt click on
NoDispBackgroundPage REG_DWORD Should = 0
NoDispBackgroundPage

and select Modify. Type 0 in
place of 1

or simply delete
"NoDispBackgroundPage"

If you have XP Pro, use the Group Policy to change the restrictions.
Go to Start>Run type: gpedit.msc Navigate to
User Configuration > Administrative
Templates > Control Panel > Display

Then set "Hide Desktop Tab" to Not Configured.
