Problem with IMAPI CD-Burning.

Hi
When I right click on my CD-drive and chose enable CD burning feature,
explorer and ieplore is not able to access the CD-drive any more. It just
hangs. When I disable the CD burning feature the CD-drive is full accesible
again. I have no problem burning a CD-rom, but explorer cannot access the
CD-rom before CD burning is disabled.
I wonder whether I am missing a component or not. Any one who knows what
could be the problem.
I have included the IMAPI component.
Best regards
Bent Kuhre
Kuhre,
Is Internet Explorer stack included in your image? If not, you may want to add it as some Dlls that belong to the component are
required for IMAPI service to work.
Also, double check if "Primitive: Clbcatq", "Primitive: Comres" and "Primitive: Version" components are in your image as well.

Hi
Internet explorer is included and also the primitives that you mention.
I forgot to mention that the CD-rom drive is a USB drive.
I have tested the same configuration with XP Pro without any problems.

Hi
If I use WinLogon in stead of MinLogon then it works, but I don't want to
use WinLogon. Anybody know the difference between WinLogon and MinLogon. I
know some of the differences, but something in WinLogon makes it possible
to access the CD-drive.

Kuhre,
IMAPI should work wunder Minlogon as well as Winlogon.
I am not sure about Explorer CD Burining feature though.
You can figure this out quickly, though. Add Winlogon to your image, resolve all dependencies. Remove (disable) Winlogon and add
Minlogon component. Build the image and see if it works.
If it works - you were missing some components that are coming as Winlogon dependencies.
If not, Winlogon is the key.

KM,
I have tried to do that and it does not work. The only thing that seems to
work is WinLogon.

Kuhre,
I can confirm that IMAPI service and drivers and working on minlogon since I use them from my application. Also I do not have
explorer in my images where I use IMAPI.
