Windows authorisation for an FTP server accessing a file

Hi

I am trying to install an FTP server software on my computer and everything
seems to be fine.

I can log on through IE and I can see myself logged on at this end as all my
tests are being run from the same computer for the moment.

The one problem is that an error Window comes up saying that I haven't got
access to this file in Windows.(I am the administrator)

Do I need to issue further authorisations to this file if it is being
accessed over the NET.

Something like 'authenticated user' or 'remote interactive logon' or
what????

Thanks in advance

When you set up the FTP server, you can set up users and set up permissions
for them. Ensure that when you log in as a user, that your user name you set
up and logged in as has all the permissions to read, write, execute, etc.
that you would like. It might help if i knew what ftp program you were
using.

Start>Run>Type in:gpedit.msc>Ok, and expanding Computer
Configuration->Windows Settings->Security Settings->Local
Policies->User Rights Assignment. The "Allow Login
through Terminal Services" right will be on the right-
hand pane, double-click it and 'Add User or Group'-there you add the
account.
