I woke up one morning, and noticed to when I went to press ALT+CTRL+DEL, I
get an error message displaying "Task Manager has been disabled by your
administrator." Now I am the only one who uses this computer, so I do have
full access on it. What/How do I in-able Task Manager so I am able to use it
again. Thanks so much for the people who take the time away to help me with
this problem!

Hi,

Scan your system for malware and other parasites. Here are some free
programs.

Adaware SE
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download

Spybot - search and destroy
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

Trend Micro's Housecall
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Once your system is cleaned and free of parasites, open the registry
(Start>Run and type regedit).

Navigate to the following sub key:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
In the right-hand pane, locate "DisableTaskMgr" and modify the value to
0.

And Navigate to this following sub key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
In the right-hand pane, locate "DisableTaskMgr", if present, and modify
the value to 0.

William:

Thanks so much for your help. I have been trying to figure this out for
almost a month. I have been scanning my computer with Norton Anti-Virus and
Microsoft's Anti-Spyware and with Adaware's Spyware Removal everyday, so I'm
sure I got everything out, I just couldn't find out how to get it back.
Thanks so much for your help!
