Hibernation - Insufficient System Resources

Hello,

I am running Windows XP with SP2 on my laptop and sometime when I try to
hibernate I get the following error:

Windows - System Error
Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API

Other times works just fine. I have plenty of memory (2GB) and diskspace
available (16GB).
Has anyone experienced this problem? Any ideas on how I can eliminate/fix
it?

Thanks,
TS

I am experiencing the same problem, on more than one machine, an
Alienware Area 51-m 7700 laptop with 2GB RAM running XP Pro SP2, and a
hand-built desktop running an Intel mobo with 4GB RAM.

I've been Googling on this problem for weeks with no success in
resolving it. this issue appears to be widespread.

I'm watching and I'm waiting, hopin' for the best...

The issue indeed is widespread. The problem is that apparently no one at MS
has a laptop with 2GB of RAM AND Windows XP to test the fix. Apparently
everyone with 2GB of RAM would rather run Windows 2003.

BTW the Q330909 article mentions:

Maybe they should call the Windows 2003 folks, who I believe "enhanced"
their OS to "reduce" the occurence of "this behavior" to zero or so?
