Printer Icons Gone

When I open the control panel, there are no printer icons. I ran the "net
start spooler" in the cmd mode and it indicated that all was well. The
printers work, but do not show up in the control panel. Also the "add
printer" button is also inoperable. I have Googled but the only suggestion
was the "net start spooler" thing. Any suggestion would be very much
appreciated.

The Control Panel icon for priters is Printers and other Hardware or
Printers and Faxes depending on what Control Panel view you are using.

Mr. Vogel, I did as you suggested using Kelly's item 28, and it worked.
