Is there a way in XP to see how many pixels I used for a image I sent
via email?

Right click the image and go to properties, then in the summary tab it tells
you the dimensions.

The summary on the properties of a picture file in the file system will tell
you the size of the file in terms of pixels by pixels (multiple these 2
values tells you exactly how many pixels make up the picture)
