I just did a reinstall with the set up cd's for my HP Pavillion 751. The @

Any suggestions?

You do not say which country you live in. The UK keyboard and the US keyboard
swap these two keys around. You should check in your system to find which
keyboard has been installed. You may have checked the wrong box when choosing
parameters during installation.

Hi,

Control Panel/Regional and Language Settings/Languages tab, click details.
On the settings tab, make sure you are using the right version of English
for the keyboard.

While you're at it, fix your PC clock or time zone. You're
