Last week i upgraded to WINDOWS XP. All was fine until last nite i noticed my
computer was going very slowly. I checked the part where it shows the users
on this computer. I sure was surprised to see another user and out of fear i
erased it instead of making a screen shot of it. Then i went to where the
properties of the c disk showed 34.4GB in use and only 2.86 free space! This
is after a day before it was free more than half. Anyone, please, have any
ideas as to what i can do before i run to my tech.?
Thank you in advance.

No, you should definitely run to your tech. This will be the best course
of action for someone who would randomly delete something like a user
account without checking it out. I'm not saying this to hurt your
feelings, just being practical.

However, if you would still like to try and fix this yourself, start by
answering this question:

What does a scan with a current version (not earlier than 2004)
antivirus using updated definitions show? Do the scan in Safe Mode.

Then post back with the results, including the name and version of your
antivirus program.
