When I try to install new programs I get this message:

Please re-install the module in the directory System32: USER.EXE.

Can someone tell me how to fix this problem. Thanks.

Hi,

Click start/run, type "sfc /scannow" and click ok. Allow the system file
checker to validate and replace missing or damaged files.

If sfc /scannow starts and cannot find files, click on the X to close it and
go to this link:

http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html

It explains how to get it to work.

Hi,

In addition, do some reading here:

http://groups-beta.google.com/groups?as_q=Please%20re-install%20the%20module%20in%20the%20directory%20System32%3A%20%20USER.EXE.&as_ugroup=microsoft.public.Windowsxp.*&as_drrb=b&as_mind=1&as_minm=1&as_miny=2001&as_maxd=31&as_maxm=12&as_maxy=2005&num=100&as_scoring=d&hl=en

and here:
