Can we have MS Java and Sun Java installed on the same computer?

The old Microsoft Virtual Machine is no longer available
nor supported by Microsoft. It is considered "obsolete".

You should download the Java software, available
free, from Sun Microsystems:

Thank you. My husband said that there is Sun Java and MS Java on our old
notebook. Does the MS Java have to be removed/deleted, or can it remain?

It can remain if you wish.

Yes you can. But, only one will/should be checked to use.

You can have both installed on the same computer without any problems.
