All you have to do is install it according to the little booklet
that usually is included with a CD/DVD burner. You must also
install a DVD recording program since Windows XP has no native
DVD recording capability.

1) A free 5.25" bay, with front access.
2) An open position on your primary or secondary hard disk controller.

Other than that, consult the instructions for the drive you purchased.

When you pick one out look at the requirements online or on the box. Each
drive is different. Unless your using a "dinosaur" it should be fine, however
consult the requirements on the box (online).
