Email cards

Hi. Is there a software program that will allow me to create and send Email greetings that contain graphics, animation and sound?
I don't want to create a website or do desktop publishing.
I have been using Microsoft's Picture It Publish It, but it creates the Email with a .exe file extension which no one in their right minds will open. MS says to send the Email with an .exe old extension and tell the recipient to copy it to the desktop and change it back to .exe. FAT CHANCE!
No matter how well I explain or know the person, no one will, and I don't blame them. Thanks for any info youse guys might have...........deango

Which will be reported as spam without being opened (at least by me).

Then we'll have a discussion about you giving my email address to a
commercial entity without my permission.

You could switch to Netscape/Mozilla/Thunderbird and then visit news://secnews.netscape.com/netscape.test.multimedia

I think what he means is that many people will not open ecards because
they tend to be spam or infected with viruses. There was a time when
people *did* allow ecards into their mail systems, but that time is
generally past. However, if you were sending a card to a friend that
you created and it was clear to the recipient that it came from you,
that friend would probably open the card. Maybe.

Anyway, as far as being able to create your own cards I can't help you.
I'm very sorry. Maybe you could use Flash to do this. You'd have to own
the Flash creation program (not the free reader), but I believe
Macromedia has a trial version.

I did a Google of this:
"create email greeting cards"
and came up with some possibilities, including instructions for using Power
Point to create what you describe:
