I use a older version of Cyberscrub, not free - but supports
many different levels of erasure. Has a very handy Free Space
wipe utility.

Along with the others already posted here is another one.Super Shredder

I like this because it adds a right click option in send to.

There is no file selection available and if you look at it it is only
able to shred temp and temporary internet files and cookies.

I'd also be careful with secure file erasers. One I tried out (a
shareware by the name of File Shredder, I beieve) put a file right click
menu selection for it right adjascent to a selection I frequently use
(copy) and I accidentally shredded a file once, but only once - that
sucker got uninstalled immediately. There was no warning nor
confirmation either, just gone, period.

Many small utilities do that. Just go to the registry and search for the
entry. Type in search the EXACT wording that shows in the right click box.
Remove the entry. No reboot required.

And if you want to wipe the whole disk - Darik's Boot and Nuke does just
that. You can make a bootable floppy or cd.

I also use Cyberscrub privacy suite. It is not free, but not too pricey
either. Works well with quite a few features.

You will find the context menu handlers here:

[HKCR\Directory\Shell]
[HKCR\Folder\Shell]
[HKCR\AllFilesystemObjects\shell]
[HKCR\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers]
[HKCR\Directory\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers]
[HKCR\Folder\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers]

I would advise to backup/export the Registry key first before making any
modifications.
