Hi,

Can i use speech recognition (SR) to issue commands in the Windows XP
operating system i.e. Start, Open Excel etc. SR works fine when i use it in
Word and Excel documents so the microphone is well connected.

Any help will be highly appreciated

From Language bar Help

"Voice Command mode commands.
These commands are application-specific and are mainly used for
formatting text within the context of the application.
All Microsoft Office XP programs and WordPad support Voice Command mode.
Other programs might support this mode in the future.
