I Got the following dialogue box when I went back to a restore date. Into
the restore process the box info is: "The software you are installing for
this hardware 'ATI WDM specialized PCD codec has not passed Microsoft logo
testing to verify its compatibility with WindowsXP. Continuing with this
software may impair or destabilize the correct operation of your system
either immediadly or in the future. Microsoft strongly recommends that you
stop this installation now and contact the hardware vendor for software that
has passed Windows logo testing".
I am asking for help on my other system before I continue with my XP. Should
I stop it or let it run.
Also I have the video card from ATI installed in my BOX.
Please help.
My other computer is waiting for further instruction.

If you're going back to an earlier restore date, then it must be something
that you were confronted with before. If you *know* what you just installed
and have manufacturer's drivers, then it's probably safe to allow. What is
the reason for your restoring back to an earlier date?

Thank you very much Menno.
You were right. It was a manufacturer's update of my ATI card driver.
I appreciate the respose.
I allowed installation and all is well.
Thanks again.
