Windows XP renaming bug

Anyone else spotted this one? (XP, Service Pack 2)

1. Put this text on the Clipboard: foo\bar*baz
2. Rename a file and try to paste in the new name. You get the
notification bubble about illegal characters in filenames.
3. Now paste the text somewhere else. You will see that the illegal
characters have been stripped out of the actual text on the Clipboard.
