Old Hard disk into new XP Desktop

Can i slave my old Hard Disk into my new Desktop and copy my profiles over.

Hi David,

You can do this and recover data, but you cannot import and use the old
profiles. The associated SID's would not match the existing installation.

Something you CAN do is use the copy profile procedure here. You will still
need to do some configuration, but you won't be too far off:

Note that one step not listed in the article is that after creating the
destination profile you must log into it once first to create the necessary
file structure before you do the copy procedure.

Yes, though you may have to take ownership of the old files to access
them:
