Hi,
I just got a new computer that came with XP home edition loaded.
How do I load XP Pro I bought earlier?

If the XP Pro is "not" OEM, you can! The only problem you may have is that
the XP Home may already have SP2 installed in to it and your XP Pro CD does
not. If this is the case, you will need to "slipstream" SP2 into your XP
Pro set up. Autostreamer is a very helpful utility to "slipstream" service
pack into Windows XP.

Is your XP Pro an Upgradeable Version or Full Version? Either way, all you
need to do is insert the CD in your CD Drive and Select UPGRADEABLE
INSTALLATION. Do not select New Installation. Then, follow the instruction
in the SET UP.

If you *just* got the new computer then contact the
manufacturer/assembler about getting it changed to XP Pro and explain
why you need this.

Good luck
