Shared Documents corrupted

I have a new Dell Laptop and after fiddling about getting my network
connections up and running and sharing various folders, I found that no user
had access to the Shared Documents folder.

Taking the bull by the horns, I took ownership of the folder to unlock it,
but it is no longer a Shared Folder.

How do I make this a shared folder again? Would a System Restore be of any
help? Could I copy a shared folder from another computer, or is a registry
tweak needed?

Hoping someone can help me here....
