I just upgrade to window pro from xp home and when i tried to run a a game it
had no sound. So i checked out my sound options and it said i didn't have a
sound scheme. I looking around and found that it wasn't even reading that i
hate a sound card at all. It's just the onboard one that came with my system
It was working fine before i upgraded now i got nothing. Any thoughts or
suggestions to help me fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on what Sound Chip you have on the Motherboard you need the
XP Drivers for it. If you don't know what
you have you can probably find it in System Info. Go to Start>All
Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information>Components>Sound
Device. Look in right pane and it should tell you. You can do a Google
Search by just
typing in the Sound Device Name and maybe add XP Drivers.

Try reinstalling the drivers for the sound card from your CD that was
supplied with your motherboard. Or call the PC manufacturer

Before calling the manufacturer (it might be a lond-distance call), check on
their web site.
