files ready to be written to the cd

When I'm in the folder where the "files ready to be written to the cd" are,
if I click on the tasks to the left listed:
"write these files to cd", "delete temporary files" or "make new folder"
nothing happens except the default "ding" sound; any
suggestions?

The problem is in the actual "write files to cd" & "delete temporary files"
What do you call them Hot buttons? I can write to the cd's but not from the
task pane

If you have third party burning software installed (assuming you do since
you can write to CDs), the XP burning commands may become inactive. Some
programs will allow either/or (can use program or XP) but many do not. Use
the interface of the burning program to burn instead.

OK but if I right click the cd drive in my computer and click "write these
files to cd" the wizard opens and completes the task, its the commands on the
task pane that are not working
