Hi
I have just bought a new computer with the oem version of windows, my old
computer has the full retail version.
My question is ...is it possible to re-activate the full version on my new
computer?
Would I need to contact Microsoft??

TIA
Andy

Why do you want too? The OEM version, if it's the same (Home<>HOME, Prof
<>Prof) is the same for anything you are going to do.

If you want to get rid of the old computer, just uninstall the retail
product, keep the licensing key, and put it some place until you need it
again.

I think the only way to move it would be to do a repair/reinstall or a
wipe/reinstall, and there's really no reason to do either as the OEM
works as well as the Retail version.

Do you want to move the Full version from the old computer to the
new one, or do you want to have it installed on both computers?
If the former, no problem--just do it. But if you want it on
both, you can't legally do that (short of buying a second
license, and that's not a good deal).

1) Yes.
2) Yes. Either by online activation or by telephone.
