Hi,

I know that I can protect Excel spreadsheet so that no one can make changes
to it unless they know the password. I am just wondering whether there's
such function inside Word? Thanks

Not sure what differences there are on different versions of Word bit if you
are using Word 2000 then click Save as, then in the save window click Tools
and General Options then apply a password and Read Only Status before saving.

Oh, I didn't know there's such function. I use some other ways to protect
the spreadsheet in Excel, so I didn't know there's such function in Word.
Thanks a lot.

You would have if you had clicked on Help in the application!
