I am having a very annoying problem.
It seems every so often the sound fails until I remove then reinstall it.
I have tracked it down to my "Game Port for Yamaha". It says the device
status: this device cannot start. (Code 10)
It seems i can uninstall and reinstall it and the problem will go away for a
day or two.

To properly update the driver, you will want to visit the website of the
device manufacturer, where you will probably be able to download the most
recent driver, newer than any driver Windows can provide.
The device is probably the audio on your motherboard, unless you have an
audio card. Not sure about the reference to Yamaha. Could the game port need
an updated driver? Consult your Device Manager in Windows.
