I want to add a shortcut to a program to the list I get when I
right mouse click on a file ?

I don't want to associate with a file type.

Thanks

Don't blame me. I voted for Gore.

It will only work for the type file you select but... right click the file,
choose Open With... click on Choose Program, locate the program you wish and
open with it (don't select "always use this program for this type file"
since you don't want a continuous use). Now that program should be included
in the list the next time you choose Open With on that type file.

Now someone should tell me how to remove a choice from that Open With list
since I chose Adobe Acrobat Reader for a .jpg file just to test the above.
Now it shows everytime I choose Open With on a .jpg file and the Reader
won't even work on a .jpg.

Thanks, but I want my program to show up with any (or no) file type
or folder.

On the machine I'm using right now my AntiVirus tool, zip, and a
couple other packages have added themselves to my menu, so it's
possible.
