My computer is going to BSOD 4 - 6 times a day even when no obvious
operations are occuring. I get the message "Worker Thread Returned at Bad
IRQL" followed by a a count up to 100 creating a dump file.

In the error log I see the following entries:

Error Code 000000E1
Parameter 1 8056377d
Parameter 2 00000002
Parameter 3 870ea278
Parameter 4 870ea278

These entries recur regularly.

Here are the codes from the bottom of the log viewer:

0000: 74737953 45206d65 726f7272 72452020

0010: 20726f72 65646f63 30303020 65303030

0020: 50202031 6d617261 72657465 30382073

0030: 37333635 202c6437 30303030 32303030

0040: 3738202c 64333930 202c3834 39303738

0050: 38346433

I have done everything I can do including deleting and reinstalling every
possible device and driver, changing out my installed memory DIMM,
reconfuguring the drives arrangements, updating my motherboard and video
drivers, etc. I have run 3 different spyware checkers and changed my
antivirus program. When I google the problem the results seem to point to a
bad driver.

Per a suggestion I downloaded the Microsoft Debugging Tool but frankly I'm
not sophisticated enough to use it. I thought it might point me to the
offending driver. I'm hoping to find some help here so I don't have to
either wipe the drives clean and start again or put the cpu in the street so
it can be crushed by a large truck.

Here is some information about this error from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/ddtools/hh/ddtools/BCCodes_96a03094-2e92-4b5a-8410-53d143169ac5.xml.asp

To find the driver that caused the error, use the ln (List Nearest
Symbols) debugger command:

kd> ln address

where address is the worker routine address given in Parameter 1.

Hope this is of some assistance.

Good luck
