My friend got bit by one of the Sober worms. I cleaned it out and ran
Windows and Norton updates. Now when she boots she gets a balloon message
saying " Firewall and Norton did not start. Click balloon to start them".
We click balloon; they start. Next boot-up, same thing.

Hi,

Click start/run, type services.msc and click ok. Locate those services (one
at a time) and double click them. Go to the Recovery tab, set it to restart
on the first failure. See if that helps.
