Removing Old XP Installation

I recently reinstalled windows XP, but i get this startup screen (before the
windows logo) that asks me which OS i want to use. Both are XP Home, the top
choice loads up the normal, new install. The bottom choice gives me an error
message about being unable to find the boot disk.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Rt click MyComputer>select Properties>Advanced>Startup and
Recovery-Settings>Edit Boot.ini will open up.
It will look something like the one below. Just highlight and delete
the complete line in parenthesis though yours will
not have any parenthesis marks. Change the timeout=30 value to 2
Save and exit.
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(5)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(5)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

( multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(5)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" )

C:\="Microsoft Windows"

Go to Start | Run. Type in msconfig, click ok. On the boot.ini tab
click on Check all boot paths. It should find the one that doesn't work
and offer to delete it for you.
