Perfect! Thank you. I was able to delete the extraneous file type
application references I created via HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
using this article. I found the application I needed, fyi to anyone
else, in C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache\explorer.exe through brute force.
Hope this is right!! Fingers crossed. Thank you!
