Where do I find the information on how to design a peripheral and its
driver to comply with WEPOS (Windows Embedded for Post of Service), and
deliver all those plug'n'play benefits that MS is promoting?

I don't think WEPoS was officially released yet, was it?
I think you may have a better luck sending your questions to a WEPoS distributor.

Information on developing peripheral service objects ("drivers") for retail
peripherals can be found in the product documentation or on the MSDN library
at
