OT - Trojan

There are better group to propose this question? This one will probably
suffice and it's friendlier!

I pick up a a Win32:Qoologic-D Trojan months ago. It sent me to
websites, that's about all. I finally got rid of it - -that is it
doesn't *do* anything.

However, upon each boot? Regardless how long I'm running? When I open
Explorer it's found in my Doc & Sett...Local/Temp and IE Temp. I do not
use IE!?
It was gone for about a week when it yanked everything out of the IE
Temp tree - - But returns (AV deletes it) everytime I open Explorer.
That's the only time AV alerts me. I have *substiute* file managers and
get no alert.

1. Why does Explorer trigger the *find*.
2. Why does it appear in the IE Temp if I don't use IE.
3. It isn't active (the trojan), does no redirecting. I appear safe
but what is triggering it to be placed in those folders. (I've done
multiple boot scans with the AV which detects it while I'm running (it
doesn't do anything in he boot scan) and I use several other scanners
which have never even seen it. I hope it's just a nag, I'd like it to go
away.
