None of the info provided answers part of the original question: How can you
change the font color of the icons that display within folders? My font
appears as green all of a sudden with all file & folder icons and I don't
know why. Is there a way to change the font color?
Thanks!

You might want to check your installed monitor drivers as well as the
monitor settings; the change in color might be related to improper display
refresh rates.
