Isass.exe system error

I have a laptop that when I turn on and it begins, before windows can get
started and make it so you can log on, I get a Isass.exe system error "An
invalid parameter was passed to a service or function."

What is causing this? I'm unable to get to the screen that allows me to log
on to the computer. Everytime I click OK or the X in the upper right hand
corner, the computer shuts down and restarts.

Can anyone help me with this problem? Did my computer get attacked by a
worm or virus?

Looks like it, are you running an anti-virus app???

I do have antivirus software installed. How can I get rid of the problem so
I can log on to the laptop. Everytime I start the laptop I get the same
error message.

Is there anything I can do or am I screwed?

Is there anyone out there who can help me with this problem?

Try logging in in Safe Mode and do a System Restore. You can go back
up to 90 days.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
