FQDN UNC and Internet Explorer

Hello,

WEll here it is in a nutshell... I have a number of clients that map a
drive to a file server using a FQDN. When the try to launch an application
from the mapped drive they get a secutiry warning about digital sigs on
exe's. This in itself isn't a bad thing if the client was accessing the exe
from a share but this is a mapped drive. I found may KB's and the like on
the subject and the "fix" is to add the server to the local intranet sites in
Internet Explorer security tab. With this "fix" I can go to the FQDN share
name and run the application without and issue however if I try to run the
application from the mapped drive using a FQDN I still get this darn error.
If I change the mapping to a UNC then everything works fine.

So my question to you all is how can I use a mapped drive with a FQDN and
not get this error about digital sig's without disableing the checker in the
registory for the whole of the computer...

Thanks!.
